Chepstow House School

Poppy Appeal

Each year Chepstow House School supports The Royal British Legion's work through the Poppy Appeal. The poppy is an instantly recognisable symbol of respect for those who've made the ultimate sacrifice in conflicts past and present. As the nation's custodian of Remembrance, the Legion is committed to helping everyone understand the importance of Remembrance, so those sacrifices are never forgotten.

The Appeal is the Legion's biggest fundraising campaign and is most obvious to the public when lapel poppies are available from the last week of October until Remembrance Sunday, or 11 November, whichever is later in the calendar.

As part of their History topic, Remembering, the Year 2 visited the Tower of London to see the wonderful poppy display.  Year 2 also take charge of organising the poppy appeal and deliver an informative assembly to the rest of the school.
