Christmas Shoe Box Appeal

Since Christmas 2010, Chepstow House has supported a Christmas gift charity appeal to help children less fortunate than ours celebrate at this festive time.

The first shoe box appeal was aimed at providing gifts for children abroad. Since 2011, we have supported The Rugby Portobello Trust, a local charity organisation. This is a charity event organised by the Friends of Chepstow House School.

Each year the children are asked to-

1.Decide whether to fill a box for a girl or a boy and what age, either 3 - 4 years or over 4 years

2.Cover a shoebox in Christmas paper and fill it with:

New small toys: games, puzzles, soft toys, balls, cars, dolls

Arts & Crafts: pencils, crayons, chalk, colouring book, cases etc

Toiletries: soap, flannel, toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, brush, ribbons

Something to wear: hat, scarf, gloves, socks, other age appropriate clothing

Books:  educational & fun

3.Bring the box into school.
