Chepstow House School

Big Dance

Chepstow House was delighted to take part in the Big Dance 2012 Schools Pledge Guinness World Record on Friday 18th May at 1pm.  Hopefully thousands of people around the world were dancing the same dance at the same time as us, in order to help break the world record for the Largest Simultaneous Dance Routine – Multi-Venue.  The record is currently held by The Netherlands with 1,472 locations and 264,188 people.  The children had all worked hard to learn the dance over the last few weeks and performed it wonderfully,  whilst keeping in time on the day.  Thank you to Mr Read and Mrs Woodruff for being event witnesses and to the Mayor of Kensington and Chelsea, Julie Mills, for coming to show her support.  The children loved meeting her and finding out about the genie that lives in the Mayoral Necklace!
